ES - Alternate titles...

Well, that's what they listed for Mistress in Greek!!!!

I don't agree with all the titles they list there and I've been trying to
find something better. Perhaps "Scholastica".
Or a feminization of the title "Archon" - which means General.

I like the title "Augusta" but that was reserved for Empress (as was the
term "Autokrat" for Emperor). I have also found "Kaiserissa" used for
Princess. "Protosebastokrator" and "Sebastokrator" were also titles for
other court functionaries - kind of like Barons. I'd could just see the
heralds messing up those titles in opening court!!

My research shows "Kyr" and "Kyra" used for Lord and Lady and "Cavallarios"
used for Knight. After the 11th century, they used "Syr", sometimes in
conjunction with "Cavallarios".

Oh, Well, Back to work.

Xene
