The Barbarian's Lament

Me Black Star missing, info gone
Me not know what road turn on.
Shield lie useless in afternoon sun;
When me arrive, the tourney done.
Me glaive not swing, no heads to bash,
No shields to crack, no helms to smash.
Me banner fly o'er field so bare,
Where my Black Star?  Oh where, oh where?
No largesse weigh me empty pouch,
In back of hall in shame me slouch.
No Sable Falcon on field me earned,
At diff'rent exit me should have turned.
One hundred leagues me drive today
But no 'ponents left for me to slay.
Instead of armour me bear feast gear.
Hope me knight saved me a beer.
