Come gather round, and I'll tell a tale,
A tale of a fateful trip.....
<snip, snip, la, la...>
a Trip that was supposed to be
a Three hour tour....a three hour tour.

Yesterday morning, after unloading Lady Arabella's large trailer and hooking
it up to our land-barge, a small band of travelers from Elfsea went to claim
their Baronial Pavilion, Arabella's pavilion, and other assorted belongings
that we left on site to dry.

Just as we were almost to the site, the wind picked up, and the rain began.
By the time we made it to the site, it was once again under water. Our
pavilions were nowhere to be seen. The silence among our travelers was so
thick you could have cut it with a knife.

Fortunately, Siobhan had her handy, dandy cell phone and I had my Franklin
planner and a Black Star. Between the two, we finally located Fritz and
Katrinn, found their house, and our pavilions, none the worse for wear. (At
least the pavilions were none the worse. The Steward on the other
hand....).

The only thing we didn't find was my ratty oriental rug that I had left
on-site on Sunday in about 4 inches of stinky water. Oh, well.

I want to thank the people of Steppes who worked so hard to care for the
pavilion of Elfsea.

Fritz, Katrinn, Sharn, and others who I don't know all the names of - THANK
YOU.

I also want to thank the rest of our troops who went with us on that three
hour tour.....that ended after six hours or so.
Daniel and Siobhan, Galen and Allesandre, Arabella, as well as Ferghus who
kept the kids busy and entertained while Llywelyn and I were on our quest.

Bless you all,

Mistress Xene Theriane, Baroness of Elfsea
