that song is one of my Thanksgiving traditions, ever since I heard it on Dad's
old vinyl when I was 19 :)

Geesh, that makes me feel Absolutely Ancient..... I remember when it came out.  Why, back in Austin (that's Bryn Gwlad, nowadays), there was actually a restaurant on Lamar Blvd by that name.  My older brother used to hang out there to meet people and trade in some obnoxious weed stuff....Of course, my parents would never let me go there, and I always wanted to!!  Funny, how he left there with some friends one night, and the local constabulary hauled him in for trading in that obnoxious stuff without a license!!!

One of my most favorite memories in Bryn Gwlad was a mini-revel at Viscount Galen's townhouse with Don Alden, Don Dupree, Don Robbie, and Don Jeremy - lotsa Dons.  I had brought my guitar, and Don Jeremy asked if I could play "Alice's Restaurant", so I went to playing, and he went to singing, and he did the whole darn thing.  It must hae taken half and hour, and I though my fingers were going to bleed the next day!!!!  But we had a great time.
