To Any Interested Parties,
I'm including Glaslyn in this discussion because they have some good archers and this range is in thier area. I won't mention the fact that until told otherwise I was pretty sure Glaslyn and it's populace were from Elfsea. (If you know me you know I'm vigorously avoiding calling them our Steppes-Children.)

I didn't arrive in time for the DCA meeting last night but we were discussed to some extent. Don Sebastian made it out Sunday and had his crossbow with him. Traditionally the DCA don't allow crossbows but this is based mainly on the power of modern crossbows. They had people burying bolts into thier targets and then Digging them out. Sebastian used a 70 pound Crossbow at 20 yards at it was easy enough on the targets that they decided we can shoot our Xbows as long as they are of similar or lesser poundage and will cause as little damage. They still have the ban on heavier crossbows with their 100+ pound prods.

Arthur has been named their official liason with the SCA and as I wasn't there for further discussions they agreed to put aside the issue for further discussion next month. Arthur takes this to be a positive sign as if they're against an idea they usually tank it pretty quickly.

I'm still continuing my search for the best area to hold practices at but this is a good range for people in the north. (It's about an hour drive from Fearghus' if that means anything to people)

With Arthurian Practices being held every Sunday through January and February I'm looking to setup pracices at different areas either on Saturday or earlier on Sundays. Any opinions on this?

In Service,
Wilim Penbras ap Gurgeneu (Did my name pass, Timothy?)
