I just checked in and found the discussion on gate fees/member discounts.
Here are my two cents worth.

It would be pretty difficult to run accurate numbers for the kingdom on our
event attendance if we added discounts (or surcharges) based on membership.
People who run troll are volunteers, the forms and accountabilities are
tough enough to keep up with at a large event, and then comes the subject of
blue cards/proof of membership.  Suffice that I would prefer not to add
additional duties to those already on our troll coordinators and volunteers.
