One of the running jokes in _1776_ is that John Adams is 
obnoxious & disliked.  Franklin tells him that, Jefferson 
tells him that; they ask Lee why they can't make any 
progress with Adams' proposals on Independence and his 
reply is, "Easy!  Johnny here's obnoxious and disliked!"
And so when it comes time to write the Declaration, 
Franklin can't get Adams to do it because Adams reminds 
them that as he is obnoxious and disliked, no one would 
pay attention to the Declaration if Adams wrote it.

Adams is short, loud and radical, so I tend to identify 
with him.  And I'm sure you could find plenty of old 
Drachenwalders to admit that I at least _used_ to be 
obnoxious and disliked.

Who will they get to write the Declaration?  Will the 
colonies be free & independent?  Come see the movie with 
us!
