ES - Defender - Heralds

Heralds could be a rather major problem.

As it stands, lots of heralds will be doing personal duties during the
tournament (I know I am, during Archery and Armored lists). On top of that,
at the last couple of events our most active heralds have been working on
other tasks (feast, sound, etc) and not able to work the list. This will
likely continue on and off.

Last Defender I was in charge of heralds for the lists, which were run at
the same time (4 fields, 2 & 2). We were incredibly short handed. Most of
the Heralds which I know in this area who actively work as vocal heralds
also fight one style or the other. If you were to alternate rounds, you
would be asking all the heralds to not fight in order to accomplish it.
Plus, there would have to be a great many people working as heralds to avoid
burnout.

If you are talking 4 fields, running solid all day, would mean at least 8
field heralds (work a round, rest a round) doing basiclly nothing but field
heraldry. Plus at least 2 camp heralds.

So, we would need a minimum of 10 heralds, perhaps of which 1 might be able
to fight (one of the camp heralds). We might be able to have some of the
heralds fight one style or the other, but personally I think that is putting
to great a strain on someone as they are never resting. Especially if
Rapier is like the suggestion for the armored list and very challenge heavy
(constant fighting).
