I don't know what other people think but the culture camps were very
important to me and indirectly important to the area. I made wall
hangings for the camps. Many of the decorations that are used in Elfsea
and Steppes and other places were made for the culture camps team.

There is a problem. The Gypsy camp was the last camp I worked on and that
year we were told that there would not be any culture camps the next
year. We didn't get together and decide on the theme because we thought
there were not going to be any camps. We were disappointed when it was
announced that there were camps but not in time for us to get anything
together. It takes us almost 7 months to get ready. We were further
disappointed when we discovered that there would not be any this last
year because of lack of interest. Of course we showed lack of interest
because we thought it wasn't going to happen. Now we are totally
confused. Most of the teams that do the camps are broken up. It might be
hard for us to get back together. Some of my members have joined other
clubs. If you decide to do the camps then it will have to treated like
the first time and individuals recruited. As a camp organizer I do like "
best camp" but we don't need the big chest. We were happy over having
bragging rights and a little banner. The culture camps were great fun
for me and the people who worked on them but we understand if the people
of Elfsea want something else. Maybe there is something that could be
done to make everyone happy.
