Rixende,

As time and energy allows, I hope to attend. I have all my stuff for
beadmaking, but promised the spouse that I wouldn't set up my torch until we
moved into our new house and had bench space available.

Also, it is a good idea to set these nights up for you to practice and get
others involved. Do you have someone watching the young children or do your
respective spouses step in watch the little ones? If I bring my 10yr old
boy, can he play with the other kids or watch TV?

*****WARNING**** EDITORIAL OBSERVATION OF SCA
FAMILIES***************WARNING****************
I have found that many fathers can find time to go to fighter practice(s),
but they can't always find the time to watch the children when the mothers
want to do something creative (Yes, I'm being sexist, and yes, I do
communicate this with my own husband).
**********************************************

Good Luck and happy bead making.

Xene

Morgan-

These evenings do not necessarily build on each other,
that's why I bill them as Open Studio nights. It all
depends on who shows up and the amount of experience
as to what happens that night. And yes, you are more
than welcome to show up later than 7. It's a very
relaxed setting. I teach, but by no means is it a
"formal" class.

This idea is a reprise of something I did in Atlantia.
Myself and another glass beadmaker would get together
for studio night once a week. It kept us motivated and
focused (we both have young children, and it was too
easy to not do glass, even if you truely wanted to!)
Some weeks it would be just me and her, others we
would have 5 or 6 people of varying experience in
attendance.

In Service,
Rixende
