A man's cotehardie is the same, it just _ends_ at the hips, and usually 
buttons down the front.  It is still as form fitting through the shoulders 
and torso as a woman's.

Unfortunately I cannot do anything about the day. :(

But it sounds like I will be teaching a class November 21st on how to make a 
14th century 10 gore gown (I went back and reviewed my notes, funny what 
memory does eh?).  I'll bring the notes on how to measure etc.

BTW, I'd also like to have a class on Italian Renaissance gowns before 
Springfaire.  Should be fairly easy - most of it would be how to make the 
bodice and different types of sleeves - the skirt is usually a rectangle as 
high as you want and as wide as much fabric as the waistband can hold.
