ES - North Texas Irish Festival

Buenos Dias!

I got a letter in the mail last weekend from the the SW Celtic Music 
Association who are the folks who put on the North Texas Irish Festival 
(NTIF). I thought I would pass this on to those on this list.

I know that some of you volunteer there every year and this might affect the 
volunteers, though I won't be sure until Sunday. As much as I would love to 
come to fighter practice, this takes precedence...

Anyway...

The letter I recieved stated that the NTIF will no longer be run by the 
original directors. Instead, they have signed a contract with a professional 
company to direct and run NTIF this year and possibly in the years to come. 
I have a meeting this Sunday with this new company to explain why my job as 
the Communications Manager is so important and to discuss other aspects such 
as the placement of volunteers and the number of volunteers needed to run 
NTIF. I don't know whether this will be good news or bad news for the 
coordinators, managers and volunteers.

I talked to Baron Frtiz about doing a demo at NTIF at Defender and he said 
that they were all for the idea. I will also try to discuss this with the 
merchant coordinator (yes that is who does the non-profit people) at the 
meeting.

I will keep you updated. If anyone has any questions or comments for the 
meeting, please feel free to let me know.
