I can always do Byzantine:)
  We could even have smaller culture camps within the larger one for groups
like the Merovingians, the Visigoths, the Varangians, the Pechnegs, the
Mongols, etc....  Or could we just call it the Eastern Roman Empire  Vs. the
Western Roman Empire?  

Just a thought..
