On a totally different topic - if any of you are 
interested in the "sea trade" during the middle ages, 
check this out:

The book is called "The Art and Archaeology of Venetian 
Ships and Boats".  This 250 page book has "more than 150 
illustrations, including representations from paintings, 
sculptures, frescoes, mosaics, engravings, manuscript 
illuminations," etc. etc.

Be prepared to drop some money - it's $77.50.
