ES - alternative tent/bed warmers

In lieu of the tragic suffications, I'd like to post the alternatives that I know of. 
     I know that for bed warmers, there are small pagages with a solution and a metal piece in them that when bent, (the metal piece) creates a chemical reaction, creating heat. They are re-usable. They are inexpensive (I believe around $2.00 ea), and sold in the camping section of Target. I am sure they are sold elsewhere as well.
     If you are on a budget, a good old-fashioned water bottle works as well.
     Can/would anyone else like to post alternatives to help further prevent tragic situations?
