Maria wrote quite eloquently:
If you have a problem with the discussion, that's fine, but instead of just
giving negative feedback, why not give your ideas on how to improve the
situation or the idea? Why do some folks feel that it's OK to shoot
another's idea down without giving a positive feedback? These negative
feedbacks with no positive comments can really cause hard feelings. They can
potentially drive away current members and drive off completely any
newcomers reading these posts or making a post.

Xene here:

You go girl!! Woohoo.

Thank you for expressing yourself so very well. People get so tied to their
failures and the negatives of a previous experience that they refuse to look
outside of their mental box.

We all must learn how to think outside of the box and allow others to do the
same. However, remember that when you have presented a new idea to the
group, it is OK to have people play "devil's advocate" in order to look for
the weak points in a theory or an argument. This is *not* meant as a
personal attack, but is a defense mechanism to protect the group from rash
action.

A balanced approach is necessary. We need fresh ideas and energy, but also
need to not repeat mistakes of the past.

Again, THANK YOU MARIA!!

In Service,
Xene
