I'll go one step farther.....Make your body clean. You don't have to wash
your hair just your body. I was told this first in girl scouts. Didn't
believe it until I did it. The only thing I can figure is that the soap and
water washes all the dead skin and sweat and daily muck off your skin which
clogs your pores and prevents your skin from breathing. The Gulf War (?)
when it was 18 degrees the first night, I took a shower just before I went
to bed, I was amazed how warm I felt walking back to my tent. clean long
johns and a clean wool dress and no cloak. I was toasty. Was remarkable
since I had on long johns and a wool dress before the shower and I was
cold.

Another hint...... the showers are very rarely crowded at night before you
go to sleep
