Good question!!

The Chamberlain's Office is simple.

1)Keep track of all items in the shed and items that other's have borrowed.
There is a typed list saved in Microsoft Excel that has a basic description
of the item and where is is supposed to be stored in the shed or who has
borrows it.

2)Keep the shed organized. Though this is not a 1 person job and you will be
asked to make an announcement to the populace about hosting a Shed Cleaning
Party.

3)Keep in contact with the autocrats of our events and get a list of what
they will be needing. It's a good idea to be there when they load and unload
the truck to ensure that everything has been brought back in a like or
better condition when it left the shed. All feastware must be cleaned before
it is put in the shed to prevent roaches and other undesirable creatures
from invading the shed. If the items are brought back dirty, they must be
cleaned by the stewards of the event, that is not the Chamberlains's
responsibility.

4) If something is broken and not repairable or we run out of something (ie.
toilet paper, bleach, paper towels, etc.), you will need to make a request
to replace the item to Their Excellancies and the other officers and recieve
their approval.

5) You really need to try to come to business meetings, even when there is
no report to be made that month. This will keep you informed as to what is
going on and keep you clued in to any possible usage of Baronial equipment.
It also allows the stewards of upcoming events to sit and talk to you
privately after the meeting is over to discuss what may be in the shed and
what they may possibly need.

Basically, this is a no to low stress office. You have no official reports
to turn to a regional officer, but you may want to post a report
occasionally in The Scroll to keep our non-e-list subscribers aware of any
Chamberlain news. The only time it gets busy is when their is an event that
month or when it's time to clean or make repairs to the shed.

If you have any questions, please feel free to let me know.

Maria
