ES - Need some help

I have always found that a plane works best.  Just be careful not to get
caried away.  If you reove too much, it's hard to put it back.

Hello all,

I have a little problem.  I'm trying to get a sword ready by war and the
rattan is just a hair too big for the hilt I have.  Is there anyone who has
a draw knife, or something of the like, willing to help me out by whittling
down the handle enough to get the hilt on?  None of the knives I have are
either sharp enough anymore or big enough to shave the amount of rattan that
needs to be done.
