[Elfsea] Solarium on Friday

hmm- I bought some fleece on ebay, not cleaned, so I ran the tub full of
straight on hot water,
put in either shampoo, or dish soap, sank the fluff into it, (once it is wet
it
stays at or below the water level), then just left it till it cooled down by
itself.
(if I really wanted to fuss with it I would smoosh it around in the water a
little)
then the next moring when I got back from work; sieved it out with some
cheese-cloth ,
which also allowed me to press/squeeze a large amout of water outwithout
rubbing the fibers together,
and fluffed what was left out on towels to dry.
just my .02 centimes.

Thank you Lavina for that great reminder!

Solarium is this Friday (November 2nd) at my house starting around 10 am and
going until 2-ish?

If weather permits, we'll be outside cleaning wool. Bring buckets, ivory
soap (or other gentle liquid detergent), wool carders or dog combs (the kind
that are flat with little hooks in them), trashbags to lay wool upon and dry
in the sun, and clean rocks to weigh down the wool to keep it soaking.

BTW, Lavina, how long did you leave your wool immersed? I believe Robyn
said an hour or two works, but I may have been mistaken.
