I completely agree with you, Innes.  The problem is that the sites we traditionally used within the borders of the Barony have either closed down or are no longer willing to accommodate the kind and size of events we hold.  Much grueling searching (I know it was grueling, as I did some of it myself) has failed to turn up any new sites that can or are willing to accommodate us either.  Camp Burnett is a great site, but can only be used for small (100-150 people max) events.  I don't think the new site recommended by Asa is technically within the borders of the Barony, but it does have the virtues of being closer and more amenities (if they will agree to let us use it).

CLearly, the only real solution is for at least one of us to win the lottery and buy a suitable parcel of land.  :)
