The Cook's Guild met last night and a good time was had by all.
Dama Anezka presented a documented period recipe for beautiful
cookies and fed us the cookies. They imprinted via molds that
were replicas of 1500's molds used then for the same cookies.
Those were often painted and used as ornaments.

Caelin presented the skills section on knife work. Those
attending sliced and diced using the techniques taught.
They also learned to cut and trim a pork butt. Last, but
not least, we used the vegetables and meat with a few
spices to make a pork stew (Carne Guisada as it is known
locally). Which we ate with rice.

The next month's skills and period theme will both be
sauces. Of course, we will have to put the sauces on
something :-). We will also be previewing the food from
the sideboard that will be served at Queens.

In service,
Caelin on Andrede
