Greetings Steppes and Elfsea,

I am very excited about my class for Steppes Clothiers: 'A Partial Survey
of Men's Clothing 1560-1600.' I welcome all to attend who would like to
prepare for the upcoming 12th Night festivities as well as those who have
always wanted to dress as an Elizabethan noble.

Expect to learn the basics of fit and form, with special emphases on the
man's doublet/jerkin and pants, esp the trunk-hose and canions. I also
cover hats, underwear, shoes, and accessories. I will be available for
specific advice on men's clothing patterns. As well, I will lend my
abilities to any ladies garments you are interested in or have been working
on.

I have finished and printed my handout for the class, and I am
exceptionally proud of it. But because of its length and the included color
pictures, supplies are limited to those who arrive first. The handout
includes everything I have to cover in the class, as well as appendices that
should help you further your learning and expertise in costuming, as well as
answering any questions I might not be prepared to field.

Finally, I would like to thank Lady Elspeth and the Steppes Clothier's
Guild for welcoming me to teach. I am very happy to have the opportunity to
share my experience. I look forward to seeing everyone this wednesday, the
4th at Lady Elspeth's home (2115 El Dorado
Way, Carrollton, TX).

Your servant to command,

~Philip White
