I was wondering about the conditions of the road - accumlations of ice on
overpasses and other little factors that may impede my progress this
afternoon.

Mostly asphalt and concrete. Wide things that go more or less
in straight lines with occasional curves. They have a variety
of colored stripes and lines painted on them. ;-)
