Amen

It is those who already do that are the ones we need to count. Not for
awards but just because.

Food for thought regarding this subject for all:

I was reading a book today from T.D. Jakes titled "Can you stand to be
blessed". Even though this statement comes from a Christian Perspective, I
think it can be translated into something useful in our decision making. In
the book it talks about a particular verse in the Bible where God tells
Moses to take 70 men who are elders or acting as elders from the tribes of
Israel to the Tabernacle to be consecrated AS elders. T.D. Jakes's point
was that God did not ask Moses to get men to BECOME as elders, but to
REINFORCE the fact that these men were ALREADY working as elders and are now
getting the title of elders because of this.

My point is this: I agree that there are those who are power hungry, and
those who are sincere. I have also viewed ones (in the mundane world) who
want a title, but are not willing to serve in lower positions to prove
themselves, OR they work themselves up "the ladder" but are always saying
"Look at me, look what I did!" They are always trying to draw attention to
themselves. I challenge all to look at those who are already serving in a
position as if they were Baron & Baroness (within their limits of course).
Ones who serve selflessly and are easily visibly taking upon themselves the
role WITHOUT recognition or drawing attention to themselves for their
service. Ones who are acting like an elder even though they were not
ordained an elder as of yet.

I hope this makes sense to you all. :o) lol!
