No.  Nigel Terry began his film career with The Lion In Winter, which is 4
years newer than Becket.  Brother John, in the 1964 version of Becket, was
played by David Weston.

I can't find a cast list to back this up and I don't own the movie but
didn't Nigel Terry play Brother John in Becket?
