You both have been such an inspiration in not only my society life, but my
mundane life as well. You both will be a great loss to Elfsea, but a great
gain to your new Kingdom.

We will really miss ya'll! We can't blame you in the slightest for looking
to the north. You know that this means setting up a web-page and posting
lots of pics of ya'll and Robbie! If this goes through, you can count on us
to come help you with any help you might need.

I've been getting lots of questions, both in person and via email,
asking about the rumor that Allessandra and I are moving away.

One of the reasons we stepped down as Baron & Baroness was so that I
could, in conscience, expand my ongoing job search nationwide.

On Wednesday two weeks ago, I flew to Chicago to interview with a
company in the far north suburbs, Grayslake, IL.  Yesterday, they made
me a very attractive offer.

It would take a lot of money to hire Galen to leave Ansteorra, but they
seem willing to pay it.  I have today given notice at my current
employer.  After the Highland Games, I'll be going up there to work on a
probationary basis for three months.  During that time, I'll be back
here periodically.  Assuming it all works out satisfactorily, and all
the details between then and now are properly resolved, it looks like
we'll be going.

This new job represents an increase in my gross salary of 120%.  I'll
finally have a mundane employer who values me the way my barony has
always made me feel it does.

It's not time yet to say goodbye, but it seems a sure enough thing to
make public.  There are many questions for which we'll have to develop
answers.  But for now, we hope you'll quietly wish us well.

Allessandra is very excited as well.  The daughter of an Air Force
officer, she's never lived anywhere for as long as we've lived in
Arlington.
