Good my Baron B,

It seems that news of my coming has reached more than a few ears.  No
matter.  I will deal with that turncoat Stephen mac Thomas and his dear
sister Medb Liath in due time.  They will feel the coldness of my cutlass
against their throats.

My crew is restless and methinks that only a good sacking and looting will
satisfy their desires for booty and plunder.  I am sure that our venture
will line your coffers and aid you in quest for higher office.  I have a
great interest in seeing you gain the position and rank of which you are so
desirous.

We have sought safe harbor on outskirts of Elfsea for now.  There are those
who will always be turned by the sight and sound of gold nuggets falling
from a chest.  I hear that the Loch Ruadh Shipworks have fine ships and will
be at Warlord with some of their best vessels.  I plan on relieving them of
the terrible task of sailing all of their ships back to their ports.

My disguise and those of my crew are complete.  I am sure that no one will
suspect me or any of my crew of being pirateers.

And as for that poor Sebastian and his tales of woe, I would not believe all
that he says.  It takes much gold and silver to find a new crew and sail for
the New World.  He is perhaps not as poor as he would care for all to
believe.

If all goes well, the Harbormaster will have more of my ilk at Warlord that
his meagher garrison can contend with.

Fear not these ill winds of your coming. They are spread by weak
gossip-mongers who will not be heeded. Their words are seen as so much bad
air and their portents have been heard so often that it is as if they
whelped the boy who cried wolf.

Not a single man, low or Noble, has given credence to these tidings and your
stealthy approach will go unseen by the Harbormaster. I await your arrival
with bated blade to silence some of these noisum wenches whilst we relieve
them of their booty and sack their homes.
