[Elfsea] Kingdom Calendar suggestion - very very long

The implication of this appears to be that most of us (including
virtually all the central region) would be limited to one event
(our PED). For a number of reasons already mentioned, I believe
having only one event is risky financially and does not allow
us enough venues for training and building a group identity.

Also, assuming you mean we would not hold events not on the
calendar, it would greatly reduce the number of events from
which to choose. I actually like to be able to choose from
2-4 events for a given weekend. It generates more new ideas
and allows me to choose based on cost, distance, and what the
group is doing. I know reducing the number of events is a
stated goal, but I have come to believe the problem is too
much rigidity in the maintenance of the Calendar. This
proposal greatly increases the rigidity of the Calendar.

If you do not prohibit non-Calendar events, then you will
not achieve the result you want. A small shire in the West
will not want to be opposite an off-Calendar Steppes Artisan
or even Elfsea Baronial College. If you do prohibit non-Calendar
events, then you just reduced the richness and diversity
of our Kingdom.
