[Elfsea] OT -- Seat Belt Safety

Hola,

Sorry about the cross-posting, but with all of us traveling so much, I would
like to urge everyone to get their seat belts checked, Please!

I met a very nice lady today who lost 7 of her family members in a car
accident, including her unborn great-granddaughter (her name was supposed to
have been Paige) and 2 great grand-children that were 2 and 3 (yes, they
were in toddler seats, but the seats couldn't protect them from a massive
head injury). The conversion van they were all riding in was in an accident.
The seat belts *all* broke loose and nearly everyone in the car was ejected
from the vehicle. She told me this was a brand new vehicle and begged me to
check my seatbelts. The only 2 people in the van that survived was her son
and a 10 year old grandaughter, because they were saved by the air bags.

As I listened to this lady's tale, I cried as though I lost my own family in
this accident. I would not want to see any of from freinds or family to
suffer this lady's extremely tragic fate.
