Greetings unto Gwenllian and all others interested in the matter of the cloak and book of the Bard of Kragenworth Keep.

Prior to his departure from the sun blessed lands of Ansteorra, His Excellency Galen asked of my a boon.  He asked that I would take, with great care, the book and cloak of the Bard of Kragenworth Keep back to the Keep on the appointed day, and at the appointed hour stand in his place in the choosing of the next Bard.  It was with glad heart that I accepted this mission from my friend, and as a former Bard of Kragenworth myself I can assure you that the cloak and book are ready, and the book contains now words from His Excellency.

Viscount Galen has chosen that the theme for the competition shall be praise of nobility.  His has specifically instructed me that points shall be taken off if the subject of such work is him.

The Baroness Allessandre has sent me with wonderous prizes to gift to the winner, and to a second and third place winner.  Knowing well that bards must be kept well watered, she has sent worth prizes.  For the first place winner, besides the august right of bearing the cloak, shall come a bottle of Loki's Revenge.  For the second place, a bottle of aged apple pie.  And for the third, a fine bottle of alcohol who's contents are not remembered even by the most wise of sages.

I bid all Bards to come, and bring your very best.  The judges of competition at Kragenworth Keep are known for their keen ear, and will find from amoung you the very best to carry on the cloak.
