Do you buckle your swache's..............?

Have you ever wanted to fire an old match-lock style gun...............?

Do you like shows where bad is bad and good is good..........?

And you dont have any trouble telling them apart...........?

Are you a fan of B movies.................?

If you answered YES to any or some of the above then I would like to
reccomend a movie called 'King's Guard'....starring Eric Roberts, Ron
Perlman, and Lesley-Anne Down.
Dont go by the dust jacket's synopsis, there are no castle attacks, all
the action is played out as the Guardsmen escort a princess and her
dowery to wed the King of Sassinia. Naturally they ARE attacked by
'bandits' led by Perlman and Roberts.
Dont expect any magic or sorcery, nor buckets of blood, no demons,
mutants, witches or warlocks,.....just a good rousing tale of duty to
your King, interesting badguys and a few odd characters(the rehash of
Shakespear given while entertaining the Princess is almost worth the
cost of the movie alone) and the out-takes after the end credits are
well worth watching.
This movie plays out like a very good SCA event told as a story, lots of
decent swordplay, good swordsmen and ONE very good swordsWOMAN, almost
everyone fights Florentine, and with some very interesting second weapon
combinations, and believable matchlocks.
This movie will never win any Oscars, but for the cost(I paid $5.00 and
change) you will not go far wrong having a copy in your video library.

All in all, with "The Lord of The Rings" ranked as an obvious 10, I
would rank 'King's Guard' as about a 4 to 4.5 or higher if you dont like
magic and sorcery.

Rapiers Up
