The real key is KEEP YOUR DISTANCE from other vehicles to about 10 car
lengths and do NOT accelerate or brake going over or under bridges.
Black ice can be deadly. If you can't feel the road under your tires
stop accelerating and don't turn the steering wheel unless you've
started to skid. Remember: Turn into the direction of the skid.

Boy, the first car couldn't leave the parking lot until about 10.  I
didn't get to go to work because of some overpasses that are closed.

Actually, when I drove in to work this morning (left house at 5;40 , got
to work at 6;15 -- just a little bit longer than normal but not much),
the road where sleet/ice covered but very drivable at 25-30 mph.  Looks
nice out there, though.  I think it looks worse than it is, but only if
you take your time and drive VERY CAREFULLY.
