Put the socks and underclothes in Zip lock bags for each day. Then all
you have to do is grab the bag.

Subject: [Elfsea] stuff to take to Gulf War

I know there are a few folks who are going to Gulf War for the first
time. Can we start a thread about helpful things to take and do before
we go to such a long event?

#1 item - Be prepared to have rain. It always rains, well not every
year, but most. The best investment I have ever made for Gulf War is a
pair of Rubber Work Boots, about $12.00 at Wal-Mart. I am completely
miserable when I have wet feet. Those boots kept my feet dry. However
remember to change you socks often. Rubber Boots make my feet sweat and
I got blisters from that when I kept the damp socks on too long.

#2 item - Bring twice as many socks as you think you need.

#3 item - Pack all your clothes in Rubber Maid bins not the cheap
imitation ones. Rubber Maid brand is more waterproof.

#4 item - pack an entire change of clothes and leave them in your car.
They will be the driest ones you have in case of rain during pack up and
the trip home.

Anyone else want to add to this list?
