[Elfsea] Moot tonight/elfsea archery

Greetings Lord Vicar/vicaress and Elfsea,

I do hope this finds you well and all haste for the
Warlord event is going smoothly. I regret to say i
will not be able to make moot tonight as we are about
9 days behind on prep work for warlord and leave for
the event thursday afternoon to help set up and make
sure the archery side will go as planned.

If you have not seen the wonderful Warlord XXX site
and read what is to transpire, let me take a moment
and cover it as that is what i would have done
tonight.


Warlord XXX archery championship:

There will be 3 prizes shoots.

Youth division: a prize on the line. Youth will be
defined as age ?? to i believe age 12. Any child at
the age of 13+ can and will fall into the next
catagories. The child MUST be able to handle thier
bow/crossbow SAFELY and with minimum help. Children
that can not handle the bow/crossbow safely or pose a
potential or percieved danger will be asked to not
shoot.

Novice shoot: There will be a prize on the line.
Novice is anyone 13+ that shoots a Adult royal round
score of 0 to 25 OR official royal round ranking of
below Bowman. YOU HAVE to have a official posted score
to shoot novice **OR** shoot the prelim's on saturday
to post official event score.

Champion shoot: There will be prize and Steppes Archer
title on the line. Being the last years champion, i
will be stepping down from this place of honor and
will NOT be shooting this year. Rather i have devised
a shoot that will prove MOST challenging. Expect to be
pushed and tested, many fun things await you in this
shoot.


Other shoots:

Royal round: offical score that WILL be turned in.
This is a great opprotunity to get your away score
needed to post a score in our fair kingdom - Step up
and be counted!

William Tell: We were able to talk the boy to hold the
apple yet AGAIN!!! test your skill at taking an apple
off a boys head (real boy not included) This is a
prize shoot with a very beautiful medallion on the
line.



That is about it, quick small print however:

There will be loaner gear availible for ALL
***EXCEPT**  the champion shoot.

ALL youth MUST have an adult with them ON THE LINE to
be able to shoot in the youth shoots OR to shoot at
all. ***SORRY NO EXECPTIONS*** this means the parent
has to be there at the childs side at all times that
child is with bow/crossbow, OR a signed/noterized (per
SCA rules) paper to show guardian/responsible adult -
not sure of legal wording...
