[Elfsea] Sewing machine repair

Need a part for my sewing machine.  I know what is broken can even repace it
easily.  Anyone have experience with shops in the area?  Good ones?  Bad ones?
I hate to pay $$$ for a 50 cent piece of metal I can replace myself.
