Well....Medb got this really cool phone from work, a Nokia QD.  She was 
going to let Evan use it, but he ticked her off about something and she 
thought, "well no."  Then she was going to let me have and I really ticked 
her off about something, she thought, "oh no."  The fact that she was quoted 
60 bucks to get a SIM card for one of our numbers somewhat contributed to 
thosedecisions.  So, she kept the phone, got some cool games and almost got 
past the first level of Ghost Recon.  She is "not" a gamer.

Evan lost his phone at the golf course.  So, when Medb went to the Cingular 
store to deal with the lost phone/replacement issue, she nearly had a 
coronary when they told her how much it was going to cost to replace Evan's 
phone.  Remember that she works for Nokia and some fair notion of what 
Cingular is more or less forking over for that phone.  She got a SIM card 
for the phone number instead, and managed to get it for about half of what 
they had originally quoted for her.  It was substantially lower than the 
replacement phone cost.  The fact that Nokia does not offer at cost phones 
to employees remains a mystery to her.

So, since she has always had the cell phone number 817 988 3115 ( as in it 
was the first number she ever had, with the exception of work phones from 
time to time), she told me that I was getting that number with the SIM card 
that fits quite nicely in the QD, by the way, and that Evan could use the 
other one until he was 18 and then we would discuss whether or not it would 
move to Cailyn at the time or not.

At some point, Medb will have to take the QD back to work, despite the fact 
that it is an unsellable prototype, but that day will be the day she retires 
(cross fingers) or when they come out with some even better and she gets 
another prototype to try out.  SIM cards are nicely transportable.
