It's only an extra 10.00 a year for a family membership - and it pays for
itself.I have had to pay the non-member surcharge for children. I think it
was at a Gulf Wars.since then, I always get family membership for my boys.
And not having to sign the waivers everytime is worth the expense.

No, it is not required.
However, if your child is a member, you will not have to fill out all of
the waivers at gate for the child. Makes signing in a whole lot easier!
(Children don't pay the non-member surcharge, since they usually get a
discounted fee)

Does anyone know if SCA membership is required for a 3-year old child? I
didn't find anything about membership for children on the online SCA
membership info.
Thanks,
Ly. Anne
