Subject: [Steppes] OT: Web host needed

Greetings to the Steppes. As many of you may be aware, I've been
working on a Ph.D., which has turned me into a bit of a ghost as far
as SCA events go. I miss you all, and am so looking forward to 12th
night!

Anyway, to the topic of this off-topic post :) I'm on a professional
listserv that is losing its host shortly. The list coordinator (Vicky
Campagna drvicky at rcn.com) is a psychologist who has been the "point"
person for the list for several years, so she knows a little about
the technical end of hosting services. She is looking for someone who
can host the list, provide access (via web page?) to searchable
archives, and provide storage/access (again, via web page?) for
articles for list members to download (many of the members are
leading authors and researchers).

There's a few hundred members and we all chip in a few bucks a year
to pay for hosting, so while there's not much money in it, the host
might be able to make a couple hundred bucks off it. Dr. Campagna
asked me to help look for a host after our current host flaked out on
us, and the replacment that was lined up bailed on short notice. I
figured if I could throw a little business to someone I know :) I've
sent this to a couple other places too, but I know there are plenty
of techs here in the Steppes, I thought someone might be
interested...

Please contact Dr. Campagna directly (drvicky at rcn.com) if you're
interested. I'm going to be away from net access all day today.
Thanks for your time...

contributions and to increase the collective moral, psychological, and
financial cost of repairing the damage they were likely to do to
