[Elfsea] Words of Warning

To the Populace of Elfsea I send words of warning!

I fear my friends that terrible times are ahead of us.  Upon returning
from Their Excellencies court a few nights past, I noticed that the
latch on the door to my study had been tampered with.   I entered to
find my study in complete disarray!  The entire room has been
searched, furniture has been destroyed, scrolls and manuscripts from
the archives are ruined.  I have not completed a full survey of the
damage, but it seems to be immense.

One thing I have been able to note as missing is a manuscript that His
Excellency had received from HL Valerius.  I was in the middle of
trying to decipher some the writing.  I can not begin to think who
would be interested in a half interpreted manuscript regarding ancient
Chinese war tactics.  It really was quite a tedious read.

I must assume though that the cretins who destroyed my study were
after this one item since nothing else seems to me missing.  What this
means I am not sure, but I feel that no matter what it can not be
good.  This combined with the ominous warning sent to us from HL Medb
makes me wonder what dark times we are entering.

I would encourage all of you to take a look through you belongings and
check to see if anything is missing or perhaps been tampered with. 
Maybe with a few more clues we can discern what these imbeciles are
after.  And if by chance you have a servant to spare for the day, I
would be greatly appreciative of the loan.  There is much work and
repair to be done, and despite the hardest efforts of my staff we seem
to be proceeding slowly.
