Greetings, all!
Some of you may have met Cheryl and Clarence, the
newcomers that we brought with us to Steppes Warlord.
Cheryl's parents are facing a couple of major
difficulties and I hope that we can help them out.
Cheryl's father has just been diagnosed with possible
spinal meningitis. If it is determined that it is
meningitis. Menengitis is an insidious disease which
can, on one hand, be quite curable in a relatively
short time. On the other hand, if misdiagnosed, it can
be fatal. Whether he actually has that or not, he will
be out of work for some time.
Not directly related to the illness, but greatly
complicated by it is that they are also facing
foreclosure for their Decatur property. They need
$1300 very rapidly to prevent the foreclosure. Even if
they can stop the foreclosure, they are still worried
about making the next few payments, especially if this
meningitis diagnosis is incorrect, or Heaven forbid,
fatal.
On this propery near Decatur, they have three horses
and they need to place them as soon as possible,
probably whether they lose the property or not.
Angel is a 9 yo QH/TB mare, about 15.1hh. She rides
well for an experienced rider. She has been on trails
and is level headed.
Spirit is a 2yo QH mare. She is halter broke, leads
and ties, but is otherwise green.
These two horses will need to be sold very soon. The
plan is to take them to every auction over the next
week or two until they sell for whatever money they
can bring. :/
Finally, there is an 18yo Shetland mare. Her only
issue is that she has only one eye, but considering
her age and the one eye, she will probably not sell at
an auction and is offered for free to a good home. She
has a sweet disposition, trailers well, has been led
for pony rides at birthday parties and such. I must
appologize for not getting her name when Cheryl called
me.
You can call me on my cell phone, 817-538-2286 or call
Cheryl directly at 817-793-0876 for more information.
Thanks for your consideration,
Sluggy!
