you will need to sit in an authorization class taught by myself or one of  my 
regionals. I realize that you and your husband have not been active in the  
youth combat community and may not be aware of all the requirements. Please

First the pre-amble.

You may or may not be  aware, that Earl Sir Duncan owned, operated and taught 
in the largest  martial arts studios in Southern Arizona prior to our moving 
here.   His martial arts training spans most of his life.  In fact,he was my  
teacher which is how we got to know each other.

He taught 5 or more  forms in addition to boxing and women's self defense.  
He is UFC  certified (if you are in the MA community you know that is a very 
big  deal) and also taught classes for children.

Now here is the  offer.  This is not an official marshallate offer, although 
he is  one.  This is a Knight to fighers offer.

If your teenager wishes  to fight in the SCA, you are welcome to contact us 
directly and Duncan has  agreed to help train them, and walk them to His 
Grace Patrick Michael for  authorization when he feels they are field worthy.

Here is the  catch.

We expect those taking us up on the offer to be willing to help  make his/her 
armour, purchse the necessary items to make the stuff needed  ( we have a 
shop and can do alot of it here) and be here at practices to  encourage the 
fighter.

To begin training you do not have to be in  armour, we have some equipment 
here, and I would recommend talking to  Duncan before you buy or make stuff 
no matter what the case.

You as  a parent if you are not coming to fight too are welcome to sit in my 
house  with the other ladies and sew or watch cartoons or whatever.  But we  
request the parent stay here during this training.

What I will do for my part.

Since I am not adept  at pounding rivets or bending metal, I will be happy to 
help you and your  child make whatever clothing necessary for him/her to 
participate on the  list field.

Practices are Thursday Nights.  They are a working  technique practice, not a 
war story conference.  Please bring your  own water bottles and a chair if 
you have a portable one.

Tonight  is cancelled due to my schedule but next week will continue as 
scheduled,  contact Duncan in advance if you are coming.

I hope those of you with  teens will take advantage of all that is being 
offered.

This also  gives other in our Barony to get to know us as people, and be 
subjected to  Duncan's humor.  Which is truly only for the brave at heart.
