Hello everyone

Just a reminder that there will be a day of Arts & Sciences and newcomer classes tomorrow, June 17th from 11am to 11pm at Serena and Robin's home. This format is to offer a few different classes such as button making, making a veil, 10 things to make your garment-making better, period color selections, etc. There will also be a newcomer class if any newcomers attend. They will also have some fighting classes going on in the backyard.

WE NEED TEACHERS. So if you would like to teach something, post to the list what you will be teaching and what supplies folks will need to bring, along with what time you want to teach the class. So if you have already contacted Serena, please post to the list as to what you will be teaching, etc.

Rather than having a formal class schedule, the idea is for people to post to the list what time they will be in attendance. For example, Serena will be there the whole day, will be available to teach on a wide variety of subjects in calligraphy & illumination, heraldic display, legal history, clothing design & construction, dyeing, etc. Students should bring paper to take notes, and lots of enthusiasm!

This day is about lots of people coming together to learn lots of things all across the SCA spectrum (not really a sew day). Experienced members are encouraged to come and teach, or just hang out visiting or learn something new with new members. Think of it as a slightly structured party.

Come and go as you please. Even if it is for an hour or two, come visit!

Serena has a fabulous library! So come hang out and do research, learn a new skill, or just come and meet other folks. We will make this a fun day so dont miss it!

The address is 7135 Vinland St., Dallas TX 75227-1829. Bring your sack lunch or snack - food it potluck!

Wear cool clothing since Serena says that her AC is not working very well.

See you there!

Serena and Katheryn
