This was on another list I belong to (rather mundane), but as we are all virtually in attendance here, I thought I'd pass it along.

Amazing what some people believe is real, huh, Harvey?

  But, John,

Don't you realize that if you had a virutal docent, you could give virtual tirus of your museum, having virutal patrons listening to virtual tapes of the virutal picutres, paying you good, honest, hard-earned virtual money for the honor?

And jus think of the endless possibilities ... a virtual cafe with virtual customers eating viurtual food, sipping virtual coffee and virutally discussing the virtues of the virtual museum, shopping in the virtual gift shop for virtually every kind of virtual gift known to virtually everyone under the virtueous sun.

My, the possibilities are virtually endless.

It's not the ideas that matter, it's what we do with them that does.

I have a lot of fun with my fake art museum - a gentle tongue-in-cheek spoof of modern art. http://members.aol.com/modernartmuseum/ I have been asked to allow tour busses to bring people to the museum, for artists to set up exhibits there, to subscribe to an employee and expense managing system, and now a "booking option" for a near-by motel is offered. And all for a museum which is totally fake and exists only on the Internet. It does look like the site of an art museum but all of the "art" has been fabricated by me.

It is actually listed alongside "real" museums in Texas at the link
