Sometimes, it takes looking in a new direction. If you have been working on a lot of garb, put that aside and see if you can use that energy to inkle weave, for example. The enthusiasm you had for a new thing "(the SCA)" is still there, you just have to re-invent it. I have been in several directions in the past 19 years. Artisan, drumming, singing, herald, (voice and book), marshal, and now I am a warranted chiurgeon. Interests can lie in many directions within the context of the SCA, and you will find that sometime just taking a small break from the work that is now drudgery, can make all the difference.
