[Elfsea] Highland Games Thank You's

First of all want to say that I am extremely proud of every one whop braved
what looked to be a rained-out Highland Games and came out today. Both
days, in our new location, seemed to be very successful from a demo
standpoint. We had interest, we had people give us their contact
information (some of these were from SCA'ers who had moved here and were
looking for local groups), and we've already had one send to the list.
Those are the things that make a successful demo even better. They are
icing on the cake, so to speak,

And I especially want to thank Master Airklee Wolf and Mistress Cainwen,
Barons and Baroness of the Court of Ansteorra, fro being here when our own
beloved Baron and Baroness were unable to be with us. We were able to give
them their first taste of holding a court and they were, well, EXCELLENT!

Now, I want to thank publicly the following people for all their help. And,
I will say this upfront - if I forget someone, that's because my forgetter
was working overtime this weekend. And any spelling errors are purely my
computer's fault.

Also, special thanks go out to Anistashia and Tristian for their brave
efforts in rescuing our pabvilions this Sunday morning after the deluge,
along with Jonathan and Richard. VIVAT!

And in Master Airklee Wolf and Mistress Cainwen's court, Daire de Hoya,
Jonathan, Richard, Tristian and Fearghus all received silver daggers for
their displays upon Cainwen Field. Master Darius of the Bells was the
winner of the Highland Games Buckler for rapier fighters and Gerhart
Wolfgang der Roj was the winner of the Highland Games Mace for heavy
fighers, though it was touch and go there for a moment as to whether Master
Airklee struggled to have himself declared the winner. Fortunately, cooler
heads and reason (Mistress Cainwen) won out. Mistress Cainwen was honored
by all the fighters, when it was decided that the list field was to be known
as Cainwen Field and that they were fighting to be it's champion.

Once again, if I left anyone out of the listing above, I am dreadfully sorry
and I apologize.

Already, we are talking about how to make next year's event even better
(more about that later.)

Until next year,
I remain
In Service to Our Great Barony, Baron and Baroness,
Lord Ceatta
Elfsea Demo Coordinator Emeritus
