UT ARLINGTON CLASSICS CLUB SPONSORING “HOMERATHON,” UNABRIDGED READING OF HOMER'S POEM “THE ODYSSEY”
The University Classics Club at The University of Texas at Arlington is sponsoring “Homerathon,” an unabridged reading of Homer's poem “The Odyssey,” written around 700 B.C., beginning with “Invocation to the Muse” at 7 a.m. Wednesday, March 28, on the mall of the E.H. Hereford University Center, 300 W. First St. The marathon recitation, mostly in English translation, will continue until 10:30 p.m., or until “child of morning, rosy-fingered Dawn” appears, according to one translation. This event is free and open to the public.
