Greetings!

I hope many people are able to come to the upcoming Glaslyn Artisan on
Sept. 6, 2008.
More information at: http://www.glaslyn.org/artisan.php

It will be a fun event, and is always a great place to display your latest and greatest arts.

During the day there will be classes - full list not available yet.
I will be teaching two classes.

The first is Kumihimo on a Marudai:
Learn the fine art of kumihimo, Japanese Braiding. Perfect for making strong belts, armor cording, award ribbons, and other braids. A
demonstration of how to warp the Marudai is included. Pre-warped marudai
will be available for people to practice. People may continue playing with the braid until the end of the day.

The second is both a request for help and a basic card weaving class, depending on your experience.

Card Weaving Largess Ribbons:
This class is to recruit card weaves to help make largess ribbons, of a set design, for Princess Elizabeth. Attendees will be provided with the yarn and the design for the ribbon. Please bring 12 weaving tablets and a
shuttle of your favorite size.
However, those who want to learn how to do a Quick warp and the basics of Card weaving are welcome to join the class. Alternate thread will be available for practice, please bring your own weaving tablets.

If you would like to help in creating largess ribbon, but are unable to attend the event, please email me privately and I will provide you with the ribbon's design. I am hoping everyone who volunteers to make the ribbons can complete them no later than Coronation, Nov. 8, 2008.
