Good Gentles;
On Monday and Tuesday of the Gulf War, Ansteorra
may show its spirit by volunteering for the
Watch. As the veterans of this event know, the
first few days are lost for those attempting to
find friends, campsites and directions on the
myriad of one way and restricted road ways
through out the site. The Watch will be assisting
those who are lost or foundering in the maze. And
Ansteorrans will be the supervisors of those
particular shift days.
As this will be my %&th (I cannot remember) war,
I find that volunteering helps put those first
days in a different mood than just by sitting
around camp listening to old stories. I find
volunteering and meeting those form other
Kingdoms through their volunteers makes for a
great good in the society. It helps me understand
them a bit better, rather than hearing about
events third hand.
Plus if you work the gate road, you can see
everybody coming in and getting pumped about the
upcoming competitions.

Thank you for your time, you may now return your
seat to the upright position.

Crandall, Olde Phart

"In all life one should comfort the afflicted, but verily, also, one should
afflict the comfortable, and especially when they are comfortably,
contentedly, even happily wrong."
-John Kenneth Galbraith
