[Elfsea] good news, bad news

The good news is that I had two offers in hand today, the one in Fort
Worth and the one I just got from down in the Houston area. The bad
news, from the Elfsea angle, is that I've accepted the offer in the
Houston area. So yes, I will be moving to Ansteorra but it won't be
moving into Elfsea to be with all you really wonderful folks that I've
met over the last two months. It's been a long time since I've run into
such incredible hospitality in the SCA as I and my hubby have gotten
from you folks in Elfsea. You guys rock! 

Seriously, the offer out of Fort Worth was okay - but the offer in
Houston was unbelievable (I still blubbering, or so the spousal unit has
informed me) AND I get to go to Scotland and Australia on business...
So please forgive me for giving into the job offer of my dreams.  After
so many years of being an academic scientist counting the pennies from
one research grant to the next, I can hardly believe my good fortune.

Everyone we met up there has been so great that I expect we'll be up to
visit you folks a lot.  I can't think of a better welcome to Ansteorra
than what you folks have given us.
